So the poor (pun) old Catholic church has to pay out more money to victimized people at the hands of dirty old priests. Its a damn shame it took so long but as in any big organization the top brass always try the cover up first. Try to get to retirement and leave the mess for someone else to clean up. Then the church has the halls to say attendance is dropping off and fewer priests joining.  |

I have a friend who was abused when he was a kid. I tell you it is not very pleasant listening to him recount what that b*****d did to him. These priests deserve far worse than they are getting or did get. Molesting children, if it was you or I we wouldn't last ten minutes in prison but these molesters survive somehow.

Ones faith sure is taking a beating . If you look carefully at most religions there is always some form of sexual abuse and the moderate faiths such as the United Church and other like it are no better. Just look at who were the abusers of the schools for the Indian kids early last century. Then there are the J.W.'s a report on CBC TV a couple or years ago indicated they had a database of 28000 sex offenders belonging to their group throughout north America. Apparently when the perv gets caught and it is a male he is required to be one of the jerks who come to your door. Next time you open the door to someone pushing this religion and it is a male just imigine who he was abusing to have to go door to door. It's called LOGIC period. Haven't you ever been lied to before? Have you ever bought something and found out it wasn't exactly what the commercial said?? Did that item cease to exist because of false advertising? Why let religion make your decision for you?? Neither one have us have met God or Napoleon. However if you believe he does exist then you need some form of Church or religious organization to attend because it seem simple individual prayer is not good enough. When the organization is require a church is created and in the Case of the Catholics an abuse center is alos created. This is all very simple. I am surprised you were unable to figure it out by yourself. I've figured out that you're a moron because you base your athiestic viewpoint on what some Catholic priest does. I don't care if you are Athiest or not, it's your moronic ability to draw conclusions from irrelevant data that I have a problem with.
