Well it don't look very good for anyone in Canada who has investments. Might be safer to cut and run to your bank account because at least your saving are insured to I think 100 thousand.

On Coast to Coast AM radio they from time to time get guests who saw these economic times coming and said so years ago and then they were advising people to re-align their lives and investments in what ever they did into something more local and more personal. In Canada this happened to some degree as a result of the introduction of the GST which was nothing but a immoral tax grab that replaced the so-called manufacturers tax that was only a con to introduce the GST which was really a tax grab for after tax disposable income. What happened was Canadians voted with their wallets and took their hard working morally made disposalable income dollars into another economy, an alternative economy which the Ottawa mandarins in electeds called an underground economy. Ironically this alternative economy is one where the government is not allowed to pick your pocket so they are quick to call you tax cheats where the had no moral justification to launch the GST to begin with! So that advice is in these troubling times is to take your money and your skills to work for you locally where the the government and their "trickle down theorists" can not follow you. That means investing in your local economies of scale in where skills, cash and products are exchanged and bartering flourishes. In economic hard times you are doing your part for yourself, your family, your firends and your community where you can see it makes a difference personally where in Ottawa anything and everything is swallowed into an abys you will never see the bottom of. You can contribute to working everything out when times are tough. Look to anywhere else in the black hole of government and or their big unregulated tax break loaded corporate monstrousities elite based buddiens that do not deserve what they are getting now you are only contributing to the delay in return to prosperity that is really available when you do things locally and for yourself cooperatively with others of like mind. ;D
