Here in Winnipeg it is becoming quite apparent that hyphenated Canadians trying to settle old scores or giving moral support for others from their different lands of their origins have tiny little to no support from non-hyphenated Canadians and other Canadians in general. Here in Winnipeg so-called protests have been held by the community supporting the Arab-Palistinian-Muslim causes in the current conflict occurring in Gaza. When only about 100 people come out to make noise and over 670,000 other Winnipeg citizens stayed home that is sending a message to those malcontents to go and settle your old scores somewhere else but not here, meaning Canada.
Winnipeg Jews also held a rally at the Asper Campus in Winnipeg where several hundred also turned up but again some over 670,000 other Winnipeg citizens stayed home and out of their pro Israeli camp also sending the same message to go and settle your old scores somewhere else but not here, meaning Canada.
Neither the pro-Arab locals nor the pro-Israeli Winnipeggers have any real support here time and time again as demonstrated in the past and now the present because their reputations gained from afar or locally through historical reputations define the reasons why the rest of the citizens do not support them here. For both the pro-Arab and pro-Israeli factions here it is a loose, loose situation. People here adhor Arabs firing terror weapons, rockets into another peaceful country which is little more than an act of war by warped religious fanatics against Israel. On the Israeli side local Jews here in Winnipeg have virtually no support from other Winnipeg citizenry because it is how they historically have treated other people here. Because of the reputation they earned when they owned and managed now gone garment industry here that used to employ some 25% of Winnipeg's work force, mostly immigrant, affecting some 40+% of the city's entire population over more than 3/4 ers of a century where the Jewish community financially plundered, financially raped and defrauded the entire piecework based garment and textile industry carrying off millions in the spoils from the frauds, thefts and government given tax breaks so they could be big shots in their own community here and abroad where they thought it only counted. No Canadian Museum of Human Rights can ever re-write such a sordid history of financial and employee abuse in this city by such a racial group. Now both groups Arabs and Jews here in Winnipeg are reaping their rewards of their past performances by the very population of others not of their kind just turning away sickened by both groups attitudes, actions and histories.
This is a Canadian success story in itself. The Canadian way being demonstrated here is that Canadians without saying so are telling these groups they have no support, to get lost and take their issues and settling old scores somewhere else and out of Canada where in reality there is no support for them here. Bravo Canadians and to blazes to ennunciated goverhment policies that do not respect the real fact of what real Canadians feel they are here to be Canadians first and not hyphenated ones at all in deference to the Government of Canada's misguided policy of multi-culturalism that obviously a huge majority of Canadians do not buy and don't want.
This is the Canadian reality and its time to face it.
