G. M. O (Genetically modified organism) killing Bees?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Plants that are genetically modified to resist insects or kill insects with the "Bt" gene. Are they capable of killing Bees, or other helpful insects that consume the plant products such as pollen. How many G M O'S are there in Canada? could this be why Bees are drying up?

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....sorta like getting sucked into the notion that .3% CO2 is as dangerous as plutonium..... The truth is that insect resistance, in genetically modified plants is generally a passive resistance rather than an active one. Passive resistance means withstanding/surviving insect attacks... Active resistance involve making the plant toxic or unpalitable..... Active resistance is avoided because it has the potential of making the crop useless for food--- BTW are you aware that uncooked raw soybeans are toxic?

Do the Bees know this? I would guess that since there food source has been alterd, there bodys amd motabilsm have not adapted. This would take a step in there evolution to keep up.

The bees are likely dying from an undiagnosed virus. Or it has been diagnosed and the information is suppressed to justify some agenda like getting GMO crops banned. Genetically modified crops are attacked/denounced by the very same elements who claim that man-made CO2 which consists currently 3% of the CO2 in the atmosphere (.0340 %) is a pollutant. These same fools claim the depleted uranium shot used in Gulf1 has rendered the Kuwaiti desert hopelessly radioactive. Their source of power is the ignorance of the general population which is easily swayed by the addled pronouncements of a drugged up rock-star. GMO foods are generally more nutritious, and safer than the original unaltered variety by the simple virtue that the plant is more healthy and robust. It's not bovine spongeform encephalitis........

I am curious as to why the bees in North America. Are the most affected I hear nothing of other continents. Could this be because there are so many GMO's crops?

I have not forwarded an opinion on marketing boards. Those run by producers are okay but when they are government run like the Ontario Milk Marketing Board.......or the Canadian Wheat Board they are just another evil government bureaurocracy.
