Felix slams ashore as major storm
LA CEIBA, Honduras (AP) - Hurricane Felix slammed into Nicaragua's Miskito Coast as a record-setting Category 5 storm Tuesday, whipping metal rooftops through the air like razors and forcing thousands to flee. Hurricane Henriette made for a direct hit on the Cabos resorts of Mexico's Baja California peninsula.
Twin Atlantic and Pacific hurricanes making landfall on the same day is unprecedented, according to National Hurricane Center records dating back to 1949.

Yeah right!
Just days past 1998 was the warmest year in recorded history----until steve McIntyre checked and corrected James Hansen's (NASA) math.....
Really! I am not that much of an old foggy and I can recall things from 1949. Talk about alarmism from insufficient sampling.
Mother Nature's Wrath? Is this part of this new religion? Media hype......Katrina was not really that unique----Galveston got whacked harder a long long time ago.
People dying of heat in france is not evidence of Global warming but is evidence of faults in French society.

A few years ago when there was some severe weather in Bangladesh and people died and I said well that's just Mother Natures way of thinning out the population. Well for some time I was in deep with co-workers that I had the nerve to say such a thing. Also I may have said also that if you build your home on a flood plain its reasonable to assume you will have a flood sooner or later yet we are all suppose to feel so sorry for them that a flood came...I took some heat for that one also.

Gheez .... all I was trying to do was point out the rarity to 2 hurricanes hitting land the same time in the same area .... ... kinda like standing in front of you and ... smack'n your ears with my hands at the time .....
