Well I find it difficult to associate this with either the guns or the US.
Suicidal acts of terrorism are not limited to the US. Despite association with Jihad, how many "terrorist" attacks are just silly youth acts? I dunno. The recent French riots were very youth oriented.
The guns association is weak in that cartridge firearms have been proliferated in our society for 150+ years but only now we have these incidents.....what has changed?........ the firearms haven't.

The states are rough ?? Isn't today the anniversary of 14 young women killed in Montreal ?? The real issue with these kind of people is that although many around them thought they were a bit strange no one gave enough thought to them to figure out they were a problem about to happen. This kid of 19 had been kicked out of his parents home. Wonder what kind of wing nuts they were ?? My opinion is that unless a kid suffers from some kid of mental illness many of their problems are caused by a total lack of interest by their parents and this situation is no more prevalent in the US than it is here. Are we not all guilty of this as well ??

It is certainly a strange time we occupy.... Perception and reality are frequently blurred.....sometimes deliberately....... I used to hear about how kids can only successfully be brought if the whole community is involved. This of course starts with the schools. If you want to know why the kids are screwed up make a visit to a school in Toronto and area. Sure their are some good teachers but most I have met have the same union mentality as a truck driver ( actually some truck drivers are more dedicated to performing their jobs in a responsible manner). Yeah like them showing "An Inconvenient Truth" as "science". The reality of the well financed "anti-gun lobby" making sure that any and all USA shooting incidents are publicized in the MSM continent-wide distorts perception. Apparently 1.8% of the "victims" of licensed "concealed carry" shootings are bystanders or those mistaken to be criminals. This compares to the Police rate of 12%.......JOHN LOTT.... And then you have the purported increase in violent weather (tornados) which is really better weather radar, better communications resulting in more reports and satelite sensing. The increase in reported rapes and assaults is just that an increase in reporting. Wadda-ya do? ?
