If this story turns out to be true then those two punks should be hung out to dry. Nine times out of ten when any animal attacks a human it was because they were taunted by an a hole human. The two idiots if harrassing the tiger should be punished. no different than kicking a dog.
The zoo was negligent in not supervising. Many people have been killed by idiots teasing tethered elephants. silly and cruel idiots go with the territory and are a factor which those who have dangerous critters must address.
How many people have bee serious injured and killed because they ignored signs, stepped over ropes and put the arm through the bars of a cage?
The ZOO however we must hold to a higher standard. I am no authority on Tigers but the first time I heard 4 meters-----I smelled negligence.
I recall as a kid reading some stuff by a profesional hunter, who had set up a tree stand and stalking goat for a leopard---when a Tiger showed up. Tigers have the ability to jump prodigious distances straight up.
These idiots get complacent with the notion that because Tigers generally operate on the ground as opposed to leopards ambushing from trees, that Tigers can't jump or climb.
I recall that although Lions can only run at 30 mph---they can be doing that on the second bound.
The zoo's negligence caused not just human death and injury but also caused the death of the Tiger.
Heads should roll.

The sad reality is that nine times out of ten when there is an attack by any animal (dog or Tiger) the human involved or one very close by was usually provoking the animal. Even kids who have been mauled were many times provoking the animal yet the media does not report that part just how a human was mauled.
Yes sometimes an animal will go off its nut and attack but for the most part they provoked yet they get the dirty end of the stick and the silly human walks away free.

It all sounds like they are guilty and if so they should be forced to clean the Tiger pen every month for the amount of the dead Tiger's age and on television.
