Some news events are locked in our memories forever depending our ages . They are so vivid you can remember every detail . So with that said " What were you doing when "

1 . John F. Kennedy was shot
2 . The death of Princess Diana
3 . The World Trade Centres

..these are just some to get you started , please add your own ...

... so with that said ,
..I was about 5 and watching cartoons and a news bulletin came on to say the Kennedy was shot .. I was angry that my cartoons were taken off the air and could not understand why my grandmother and mother were so interested in the t.v. and this man .
... Labor day weekend 10 years ago , about 11 pm ,at the cottage , just thinking we should go to bed , a special bulletin came on ..... the rest is history and we never went to bed that night ... glued to the t.v. awaiting word on Diana's condition ...
... 911 .... at work , foreman came out , shut us down , turned on the radios and the 1 t.v. we had and watched in horror as the events unfolded..

OK numbers 1 and 3 I get, but on number 2 - seriously? Somebody somewhere, other than the immediate family remembers where they were when they heard the news Princess Diana had died? Why?

The only thing I remember about that was the following week Mother Theresa died, and no one seemed to notice.

What exactly is Diana is supposed to have done to make her important anyway?

I mean Jeez...what's the next question? Where were you when you heard Anna Nicole Smith died, or Paris Hilton was arrested for DUI?

I can recall everything about the 911 and JFK events but the rest.....?

I recall the personal events when Desert Shield morphed into Desert Storm.....the night that Saddam lost his run-ways, SAMS, Radar, and CC.....

I recall, days later, while watching the AAA show from Baghdad on the 11 news when the phone rang........I was home on leave.
