Actually it is worse than that.
Separated, having moved I was subjected to breakins and robbery by my X. Calling the Police, bore no fruit....even when they caught her here. One time they calmly told me that she had as much right to be there as me......a notion disabused when on my insistance they checked her ID.
Finally to end the confusion, I obtained injunctive relief, a restraining order. Net result, they would come after a time and give her a ride to her mother's.
And then it got real wild....one evening about 2300, she appeared kicked the door open and assaulted me, breaking a bone in my hand (defensive wound). I did not summon the Police as that was futile and she left. What I failed to notice was that she took the handset to a cordless telephone. With which
she called the Police and made a "gun call". I had retired for the night, with intention of seeking medical treatment in the AM.
I awoke to "hot and cold running"
machine guns, in the hands of nervous tyros. Police who were totally indifferent to anything I said and removed in custody to the local detachment. She was left in my house to loot at her leisure.
After about 3 hours and no interview, I established from the turn-key that no-one was coming and that I would be fortunate to be released by 1600 after an appearance before the JP.
I told this dude I would be out in 20 minutes to 1/2 an hour. He laughed and I responded in a manner to make a drill sergeant jealous. "I want to go to the hospital. NOW!"
The turnkey fled and a uniform appeared. "whadd ya wanna to go to the hospital for?"
I held up my swollen hand and said "broken hand."
He asked "how did that happen?"
I responded...
"I told the B***ch on the phone.
I told the 5 wannabe rambos...
I told the arresting officer....
I told the three perverts who strip searched me.....
I told Harry the trunkey....
Ask them."
I got "just cause you are in trouble doesn't excuse this..."
My response...."I'm not in trouble....you all are."
"Hows that? we gave you the opportunity to call your lawyer."
"false arrest and unlawful confinement"
"denial of medical treatment"
" 5 counts of pointing a firearm"
"5 counts of use of a prohibited weapon in an indictable offense."
"breach of a restraining order"
"illegal entry.. for starters"
"My lawyer is a civil lawyer and come daylight you will learn there is nothing civil about civil law....."
"What restraining order, as for the rest there is reasonable cause."
"Not with the restraining order of which I informed all but no-one listened. This detachment has an original copy of the order."
When was it dated.
"*******."
"That was 8 years ago we don't keep anything for more than two years."
"It is a permanent order. Ignorance is no defence before the law..."
Then there were questions as to whether I feared my X. The mentality was "what kind of "girly-man" needs a restraining order......"
I was out in 20 minutes.........and the Police spent the next 48 hours recovering my property......
The girly-man notion and the assumption that a restraining order only applies to males was the cause.
In fact the OPP guidelines at that point were.....
"When attending a "domestic" where there is a restraining order involved....ALWAYS arrest the man."In the nearby town, apparently two other fellows with restraining orders, got arrested for the same silly reason.
Sexual Prejudice is not one sided........
How many fathers are refused access to their kids on appointed weekends because the wifey is just a b***ch. Although she gets summoned to court and chewed out the following weekend she does it again and again .....no jail time. If the man retaliates by with-holding support payments, and gives written noticeas to why, he still goes to jailand/or loses his drivers license/job, but the guy still doesn't see his kids.
and then the feninazi's say it's a man's world.......
