Happy Canada Day! Happy Dominion Day! too both are still being used in the U.S I just like the Sound of Canada Day Better . Thanks for The information though .qc Thanks for the insult. Happy America Day. Can I celebrate the 4th of July by wearing a bright red coat?? I don't normally stoop to anti-Americanism unless Americans or any other foreigner stick their nose in our business, but here goes. I try to remain neutral towards America. Your country-your business, please apologize or be prepared to take sides on the issue. America would do well with those who call it 'canada day'. Without pride in our heritage and an identity we are easy prey, aren't we? CDN, love the avatar!! I use the same one on another site.

I am always amused at how many posters on the net refer to someone elses work to PROVE their point is correct. Remember the "Post" was founded by an arrogant non-Canadian who is about to spend the rest of his Lordly life in a US prison. Non-Canadian? Black returned his "Canadian" citizenship because Cretein in a denial of Canada's true heritage refused to let him receive a British honour in a country which is historically part of the British Empire (commonwealth). Black scrapped citizenship of "turdeaupia" not Canada. A true Patriot, he sacrificed his paper for the true principles of Canada. You aren't Canadian, pinboy, you' re a wanna be Queerbecer!! ;D

I can still remember calling it Dominion Day. Didn't see a reason to change then and still don't. I love the Red Ensign.

You aren't Canadian, pinboy, you' re a wanna be Queerbecer!! ;D You are suggesting that arrogant fat criminal has principals ?? Give me a break. He is a self centered jerk who only cares about himself. He in fact proposed trying to regain his citizenship as it would give him a place to serve his jail term but has not had the time. Just like some immigrants who use Canada as a country of convenience. And why the hell should any Canadian give a dam about what you think are his principled motives for giving up citizenship in the first place? He gave it up for HIM. Not for any other reason. Trouble is, HE's NOT an IMMIGRANT? A born Canadian has a unique and moral right to contest the direction of his/her nation that an immigrant does not.

Trouble is, HE's NOT an IMMIGRANT? A born Canadian has a unique and moral right to contest the direction of his/her nation that an immigrant does not. Wrong,, Black like you and I and those who call themselves "First Nations" are all immigrants. Unfortunately, any newly arrived immigrant who stays in Canada long enough to get citizenship ( about 3 years)has the same rights to moan and groan about the system as as one who is a 5th generation Canadian. But you are correct. Black has the absolute right to give up his citizenship in what he considered some form of protest but the fact remains he gave it up and is no longer a Canadian. Blacks position is just as silly as that of the Lawyer from the Caribbean who refuses to get Canadian citizenship because he will not pledge allegiance to the queen. We don't need him any more than we need Black ( no pun intended). Bottom line is the same for everyone,,if you don't like the system do us all a favour and get out and stay out.

A MORAL right, not a legal one. The Lawyer from the Caribbean wishes to destroy Canadian tradition. He is foreign scum. If you don't like this Nations history and hertiage and those who stand up to defend it you are the one who needs a one way boat ride. If you dislike our connection to Britain, you may notice your passport. If you can't find a Canadian consulate, find a British one. Bye bye Pinbouy!!
