The Order of Manitoba has just trucked out its latest recipients list of order of the buffalo hunt. Just like the Order of Canada appointments the mixture of recipients is unmistakeable odourous where the legitimate ones are mixed with the ones who are like $3.00 bills to spread some legitimacy out to them by proxy from those who really did something otherwise they would never be awarded anything but being some kind notoriety of that given to a political hack. Then to tell you that the process is a rigoursly screened and vetted one through a select committee that then makes the appointment tells one that it is more political than ever seeing the selection committee are all there through their political connections to begin with! Some committee! I like the Free Press newspaper poll concerning subjects like the `best Manitoban`` of our times and so on. At least people can vote and even more than once but at least there is no conscious effort to spread legitimacy through proxy. ;D
