So Mr. Harper has prorogued parliament what's the big deal ? He broke no law in doing so. Sure he has some agenda but who doesn't and if it was Iggy doing it would there be such a big stink over it ?

Yeah no big deal.
I read somewhere that in practice this delays Parliament by 3 weeks.
This was a favourite tactic of Cretin....in the last 2 decades Parliament has been proroged an average of once every 1.3 years.
Might give McCallum an opportunity to sober up.

Couldn't the Governor General have said no to Harper as she was appointed by the Liberals.

Despite being nominate/appointed by the LIBRANOs, Michelle Jean has been an exemplary GG IMNSHO, it seems Harper will not reappoint her....perhaps she seeks to retire.

The problem here is allowing ANYONE a seat in federal politics that was not born in CANADA. I don't care if you are a citizen, as a first generation foreigner you carry too much baggage. Absolutely |
