Hello!
For those of us who are not in the know. I live in New York City and here in the United States we have a program called the School Lunch Program, which feeds free lunches to public school children. And like all government programs this one has a very seamy underside!
A survey and stud was done and the results were that our poor school children are better off eating McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Jack In The Box, etc than to eat what is served in school cafeterias! Why? The food is not inspected. The ingredients used have long outlived their usefulness. Ex: spoiled meat, old chickens, etc. Food that fast food restaurants won't use because they have a MUCH HIGHER QUALITY STANDARD than public schools!
The news announcer ended his report by suggesting parents either, send thier child or children to school with their own lunches, or give them enough money to buy something from McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. The very places they've warned us NOT to eat from. What's a poor parent to do?
