I firmly believe in free speech and would not have edited anything ... but I try to post threads that might be of general interest to potential posters and they became battle-grounds ....at the least they should of been cut/pasted to the Untamed QP Board , where the debate continues ... This is not a battle of wits. It is simply a superior intelligence playing with a baitable ( I know it is not a word but it does sound good) kid. In most cases the one on the bottom of the heap gives up and shuts up. In this case his inferiority complex and immaturity show through in the constant reply to my baiting. Ok,, you and to debate something. In a previous post I brought up the subject of the SPP. You could not understand what was wrong with an arrangement which you felt simply made it easier to trade with the US !! You also mentioned you were indifferent to it.

Well to say these things you must have great in depth knowledge of the subject.

How about sharing some of this knowledge and indicate why you think this partnership is good for Canada. You should also indicate why this partnership has not been debated by governments of the 3 countries and why most media sources have never mentioned the subject.

Finally you could comment on why only Lou Dobbs of CNN is the only major US news show to regularly comment on the issue..

Basically before it is possible to have a debate on any issue you have to know something about it. I am first of all trying to find out what you know and it seems the answer is NOTHING.

By the way I am no expert but I have seen enough about it to be concerned not only for Canadians but also the US and Mexican people. After all this issue is being pushed by mega multi national corporations and when those are the interests which are trying to make things move it can NEVER be a good thing for the little guy.

The real bottom line on this issue is that it's main purpose is to remove the Mexican and Canadian borders so that we in North America will be one big happy family. Do you want that ?? Do you want a poor Mexican who will work for peanuts taking jobs from Canadian Construction workers ?? If you don't care fine as at least you will show you have an opinion.

Yes the manufacturing companies provide jobs,,,to the Chinese and the Walmart's and Canadian tires of the world provide part time, minimum wage, no benefit jobs to the North Americans. Guess you have not seen the job loss figures for Ontario for the last year or so. So tell me who is providing good well paid jobs to North Americans.

I read a comment recently by one of our economic geniuses that we are now in the "Service Industry",, Like we work in finance and insurance. Well with no jobs who is going to buy insurance ??

Big corporations do provide jobs, but you are correct, they are not doing so for the greater good of mankind.

Unfortunatly, the service industry we are in is becoming natural resources like metals and petroleum, which will deplete someday.

Hopefully China's huge population will inflate its economy and subsequently its production costs. I don't blame Americans for not signing Kyoto in view of China and India's 'developing nations' exemption.
