I want to move to Canada in the near future. However the temple that I will be staying at already has three people on religious visas and they said I have to wait until theirs clears or unless one of them goes home early.
So my question is this. Is it true that you can live in Canada for three years and renew it for another two years, then after that apply for permanant residency card which is also good for three years and renewable and through all this is it possible to get Canadian citizenship after going through all that? I know the temple that I plan on moving to has to represent me at the immigration center and they don't have a problem with that. It's just that I heard that the only way I can move to Canada is if I marry a Canadian. That seems like a silly rule to me. I am only a religious worker.
