Yes its sad to say but this board is almost dead...just me kicking around here. People stop by to look around then leave. Some once in a while register then do nothing. Oh well.

Well, i am not entirely sure how I can help out exactly but I sure am willing to try I'd like to help out if I can. I guess a way would be to put up a bit of an introduction post, would you like me to do that here or I can also go to Duffy's tavern, try to start bringing that back alive ? For a while it may be just the two of us, but others might jump in over time... I will be here as much as i can...can't promise to be here every day maybe, but I will sure be around on a very regular base |

Ok let's see about an introduction post... Well, i'm a 51 year old guy who lives in Holland, Europe. I live on my own and I live on my own very clearly by choice after some real bad experiences in the past. I'm currently out of a payed job due to medical- and some other circumstances, but I do plenty of volunteer work that I enjoy a lot too. I'm in a commission that advices the city hall counsil about the rights and needs of low income people and people living in poverty so that the rules are carried out in the fairest and most humane way possible. Besides that I am also doing volunteer work in a historian organisation that collects all sorts of data and such on the history of my hometown and the region I live in. I may start volunteer work in an animal shelter in the new year to come. Currently i'm also finishing a web design course to get my web design diploma I have a lot of hobbies and things i like to do. The most important one is music. I listen to enormous amounts of music and i'm active in music myself. I play synthesizer, guitar, bass, piano, some mandolin and some flute. I also do quite some graphical work on the computer and love to work with photoshop, paint shop pro and bryce 3d. I also love walking and nature and love to make walks in nature for hours. Besides those I love writing, both stories and poetry, reading about all sorts of things but especially political things, astronomy, psychology/psychiatry, mythology and books about polar expeditions I am generally a laid back person who loves to listen to people and try to help out if i can. I believe strongly in the power of positive thinking. I came on to this site for a few reasons. First of all I think the site looks like a great place with lots of things to get active in over time. Second, I have always had a strange fascination for Canada. I'm not sure why. But ever since childhood there have been three countries that have drawn me big time, being Norway, Scotland and Canada. I have visited Norway several times and every time i am there it feels like i'm home and I have a feeling the same will happen once i get a chance to visit Scotland and Canada. I hope to get to know some good people here, find out more about several aspects of Canada and just have a good time here and hopefully build some friendships |

Well Teddybear8 as of this moment it is just you and me. I am always looking for new members by posting my board on the web and some stop by and never stay. If it the course of your daily travels you know of anyone who is interested in Canada please invite them as all are welcome.

If I know anyone or come across anyone who may be interested, I will certainly refer them here, Tai Pan. It's really a bit of a shame that the place seems so dead cos it's a good site in my opinion. Hope all is going well on your end. I am gonna do some reading the coming couple of days and see if I can add some things to some other threads here.

I will be a bit limited in posting for a little while, hopefully just some weeks. Thing is that the only comp I had went out last night. It shut itself off and smoke came out the back. End of story, motherboard is burnt meh ! So i'm trying to find a temporary comp i can loan or a second hand one till i can get a new one. I do have a tablet but its slow and the possibilities on a tablet are quite limited. I do have the option I can inbetween do some things on my brother's computer. I will try to be here as much as i can, but please understand if it's a bit less then normal right now
