North Pole Sea Ice twice as thick as expected

The research aircraft “Polar 5” today concluded its Arctic expedition in Canada. During the flight, researchers measured the current ice thickness at the North Pole and in areas that have never before been surveyed. The result: The sea-ice in the surveyed areas is apparently thicker than scientists had suspected.

Normally, newly formed ice measures some two meters in thickness after two years. “Here, we measured ice thickness up to four meters,” said a spokesperson for Bremerhaven’s Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research. At present, this result contradicts the warming of the sea water, according to the scientists.

Apart from measuring ice thickness, the composition of arctic air was also investigated. With the help of a laser, the researchers studied the level of pollution of the atmosphere by emissions from industrialized countries. In the next few weeks the results will be evaluated. Some 20 scientists from the U.S., Canada, Italy and Germany took part in the expedition.

I believe that we human did our fair part towards global warming.We destroy our forest ,build houses,cage and kill as much animal as we can. We look at what we want and not what we can do to make the world a better place.

Time and time again scientists not cowed by political establishments are telling people that global warming is tied to our solar system and place in it which is variable and eliptical so just how does a little bug like man affect such a monstrous universe? Seems out thermal nuclear reactions on the sun, the sunspots and decline and rise though sun spot cycles have more to do with global warming than any other one think. What people are doing is global scarcity of resources cycles that have various impacts like over fishing, oil drilling & extraction etc.

The best solution for a non-existant problem is to do nothing.

Global temps (whatever that is) have been declining for a decade despite the Hawaian Volcano mounted CO2 measurements indicating a steady increase.
NASA's global, 3000 buoy, ocean ARGOS system has registered a steady decline in ocean temps.....
80% of the US govt NOAA weather monitoring sites have been shown to have siting problems...resulting in a war bias---which exceeds the published temp increase of the entire 20th century.
Arctic Ice has again reached historic limits....the clowns sailing through the NWP encountered such severe ice they needed the services of Canadian ice-breakers....

The UK Hadley crowd testify to steady warming but seem to have lost all the temperature data----conveniently avoiding peer-revue.

Friday the unanticipated occurred.
What is suspected is that somebody at the Hadley Climate Research Centre leaked (alleged hacked) the computer banks and released thousands of e-mails and many many documents onto the internet.
The data indicates a small (42-43 individuals) cabel of politically motivated individuals have infiltrated the climate research establishment globally and have created the "CO2 Climate Crisis" out of really nothing at all.
The temperature records have been distorted/manipulated globally to such an extent that in reality we haven't much of a clue about much at all climate wise. The famous "hockey sticks" were already debunked but much of the alleged hard science the IPCC and various governments have relied upon is fiction.
This event has dominated the blogosphere since Friday...

This has not largely been reported in the lamestream media but then the leak indicates the MSM is a willing assessory in this attempted coup.
It would seem that the integrity of Hadley CRU, the IPCC, GISS (Goddard Institute of Space Studies---NASA) etc has been compromised.

Included in the e-mails is Phil Jones threat to delete the global temp---raw data.
It now appears that this did occur to prevent Freedom of Information demands.....in other words prevent a valid peer revue.
Peer Revue is now a term of derision------it appears to have degenerated into PAL REVUE by a small cabal of conspirators.
Copenhagen was teetering now seems to be a farce.

Today, Global Warming is a huge disappointment. The wind chill of -20 made the dog's morning service run brief and very purpose driven. Amusing to watch the dogs seek the shelter of trees to do the business....then run full tilt to the door....then renew their close association with the stove.

There was an article at pajamas media that nade an excellant anology as to the behavious of the "scientists" and the warmist media. It was comparing their behaviour to hampsters suddenly finding they are trapped in a cage with a hungry snake.
first, freezing.....
then rushing about futilly seeking a way out...
then screeching and trying to dig into the floor.

2 weeks of silence....
then making claims of quoting out of context and trying to deflect the issue to the "illegal" disclosure etc.
trying to brazen it out and declare it as irrelevant.....

As somebody observed when Climate-Gate finally hit the media, the then alerted sought detail on the net and found it was colated, discussed and well examined in easily read format.

Like the collapse of the USSR......a few things indicated a crumble then crash.

Meanwhile in the US, OBOZO has a reluctant Congress, but has the EPA making rulings----basically making an end run around Congress and democracy to force industrial shutdown.

This could end badly......already lawsuits are pending against the EPA....it is not impossible this could incite Congress to impeach OBOZO.

There are times, such as now, when I feel like the voice crying in the wilderness.
I realize that the conspiracy has near TOTAL CONTROL of the media, schools and academia but I am appalled by the general populations near total ignorance of Climate-Gate.
It appears that unless folks employ the internet, they have not a clue. Then the majority, who have heard, think it is a minor, fraudulent smear campaign by BIG OIL.
What little has been reported on the MSM, supports that.
However, CTV screwed up royally in the last few days. They did a face-to-face (electronically) between this loon, who had wrote a book smearing Climate-Gate, and Dr. Tim Paterson (certified climatologist). The loon said BIG OIL financed ALL scepticism and Paterson retorted show me the money (proof) and then challenged the loon's credentials.
The loon had to admit no proof, just rumours and his expertise was limited to reading the MSM and the IPCC reports.
Typical.
Then there is the myth that only a "few" scientists were caught out and the other agencies reports and data were solid......despite the e-mails show collusion in falsifying data, suppressing inconvenient data. There are no reliable climate records. What there is, is limited to national data-sets (such as Russia's. The US, Canadian, and EU data has been contaminated with "adjustments" or simply deleted.
The image is clarifying that the whole conspiracy is about capturing the global economy, and creating an unelected Global government based upon the UN.
If you notice the UN etc are freaking because COP15(KyotoII) just ain't gonna happen.

Well the Copenhagen shake-down session has ended.....
The CBC is making a big deal about Harper missing the group photo.......and laying some of the blame for the developed industrialized nations for not commiting economic suicide, surrendering their sovereignty to unelected later day communists

During the last days every tin-pot 3rd world dictator from Chavez to Mugabbe were cheered and lionized by the delegates, as they pontificated about the need for all their failed nations to receive Carbon reparations.
As if throwing money would develope/improve Africa. If that were the case Africa would be the most sophistocated urban area on earth.
OBOZO drew a line in the sand, with his speech. He pledged $10 billion US towards a $100 billion "climate fund", but only on conditions of transparency re emmisions and accountability as to what the "climate fund" moneys were spent on.
That pi$$ed off China re emmisions and pi$$ed of the 3rd world despots and dictators who what money with no strings attached.
It is not unreasonable to expect the Chinese are not very anxious to lend money to the US to be given to places like Zimbabwe.
I think that China planed this and contrived OBOZO their puppet to torpedo a solution to a non-existant problem.

Global Warming as a rallying cry arose as the Pollution levels created by Automobiles and Industry went down – in many cases to such an extent that it was hard to detect any difference between the intake and the effluent from them – and the air and water which were the rallying cries of the Environmentalists were no longer sufficient to evoke support for ever-increasing levels of regulation and Government intrusion in Industry. Thus, since they could no longer easily push through legislation based on their old standbys, they lit upon Carbon Dioxide, which, being a direct product of 99+% of all combustion currently used in generating both Electrical power and the mechanical power used to drive Automobiles, was the perfect target, since that combustion cannot be “cleaned up” by comparatively simple means before it exits either the tailpipe of the auto, or the smokestack of the power plant.
For decades, the Left has been attacking our use of fossil fuels, first with the pollution that earlier, less efficient and clean engines and power plants produced, and later with the notion that “WE WILL RUN OUT SOON!!!!” After the cleanup of the emissions of the cars and power plants emasculated the pollution argument (basically they won that one, but are never satisfied), and new oil and natural gas finds nullified the “Running out” argument, they essentially had nowhere to turn for new ways of controlling our lives, until they looked at the people who were claiming that the Earth was heating up (in some cases, these were the same people who said we were heading for an Ice Age just a few years earlier), and someone said, “Hah! EVERY car and combustion-powered power plant creates CO2, we can ring THAT welkin for a long time!”

Here’s the thing that is most convincing to me: You notice that hardly any of the people screaming about CO2 will even consider the most simple solution to the problem that is obvious to most people, and that is Nuclear Power. Contrary to what the paranoids would have you believe, Nuclear waste generated by a power plant is not hard to deal with. Most of the worst radioactive materials can be refined into a glasslike substance and stored right on the site, and there are even ways to use the heat generated by the secondary radioactivity in these blocks as a supplement to the main power plant. The rest is low-level radioactives which could be safely mixed in with highway cement, or used in similar ways to contain the materials (the cement would block the radiation of all but the surface particles, which would not contribute significantly to the overall background radiation). So we have Environmentalists telling us that our Carbon economy is killing the planet, but they won’t let us use the most efficient way to cut the carbon emissions (even though there are now a couple of plans in the works to build nuclear power plants, it takes at least 5 YEARS just to go through the red tape and get it approved – which may or may not happen). That tells me that their goal is control, not reducing emissions, and the environmentalists are nearly all Leftists.

It seems somebody did a FOI on the EPA and found that the EPA delegation to Copenhagen. despite their recommendations about green transport...disdained Copenhagen's comprehensive mass transit and rented vehicles----the biggest honking cars/vans they could lay hands on---at US taxpayer expense.
The result of Copenhagen was not a treaty but maintaining the statis-quo re carbon credits----the carbon credit market crashed a week back...HEE HEE.
The IPCC head, Paichauri, has been exposed as a rent seeking opportunist ....getting rich in various ways....
The country that was most enthusiatic about the green nonsense was Germany----which has now as much as ditched the whole agenda.
